It’s finally complete and I’m so happy with it! Since we kept the gender of this baby a surprise I needed a neutral space. I also wanted it to be calm and inviting.
Previously this room was Charlie’s nursery and I went for a bold midnight blue accent wall. I loved that for its own reasons. [Check that out here] But this time I definitely wanted the space to be light and bright. To add some texture we had a local millwork company, called Outline, make this beautiful board and batten wall as the feature. We painted it a very neutral, light brown. The colour, although simple and muted, made all the white furniture and greenery pop! It also went really well with the birch details in the room.

The crib is the same one Mila & Charlie used— the Hudson crib by Babyletto. It’s simple & sturdy. Even all these years later it’s in mint condition. And it comes with a toddler bed rail so when we’re ready we don’t have to change to a bed right away.
The sweet mobile is a two part purchase— the wooden crib arm is from Pottery Barn Kids and the actual mobile is from… wait for it… Amazon! And it was only $25! Crazy, right? I love the simple, Scandinavian feel to it.

Let’s talk about the beautiful accents that make the room. The absolutely gorgeous name sign is from Happily With Love and is one of my favourite items in the room. It’s dainty structure fit so well with my vision. And the gorgeous macrame rainbow is from my insta-friend Koreena’s shop, Giving Sundays. Not only are her rainbows handmade and gorgeous, the proceeds go towards a different charity each month— such an amazing initiative! The onesie that says “BUBS” is from Roe & Cru and I just had to have it! I call all my littles ‘Bubs’ (not really sure why, lol) but that made it a perfect addition to her room decor. And, of course, I can’t forget the Cuddle & Kind dolls which each provide 10 meals to children in need. So you receive a beautiful doll and also make a small difference in a child’s life— another amazing cause!

Our scandi style side table is from Wayfair Canada. While the tufted rag rug is from Urban Outfitters. Majority of the other items: shelves, dresser and chair are all from IKEA.

And I think I’ve covered it! If there is anything I missed please leave me a comment and I’ll update this post. Thank-you again to everyone for your kind words and praise on this space. I truly appreciate it!

XOXO
