Before I change up Charlie Baby’s nursery to Baby #3’s nursery I thought I should at least share it with all of you! This is a long time coming. Honestly I don’t know what’s taken so long for this blog post to come together but better late than never I guess, right?
My thoughts on this theme all started with this deep navy blue feature wall. I’d venture to say it is one of my favourite colours. And I’d decided boy or girl we’d paint the wall this colour. In our previous home this was the feature wall in our guest room and I loved it. Everyone who visited always complimented the colour. So what better choice than to make it the feature in our sweet baby’s room. This is a custom colour I had mixed at Benjamin Moore but very similar to their colour Old Navy.
Then to add notes of feminism once we knew we’d be welcoming a baby girl I started by adding these gorgeous peonies to my handmade wreath along side lavender stems. Once these colours were chosen I happily stumbled on Little Unicorn’s watercolour rose bedding and the rest was history. Crib sheet, change pad cover, quilt & a few muslin swaddles were all purchased from Little Unicorn via Westcoast Kids and 2 years later are still in perfect condition. Our crib is also from Westcoast Kids and by Babyletto. I haven’t decided if I’ll be keeping it for Baby #3 or passing it on but it is still in great condition. This change, if we do decide to go this route, would only be purely for aesthetics and a different theme for Baby #3.
Dresser is from IKEA and perfect for storing all the little things your babe would need. Our arm chair is also IKEA. We debated on whether or not we needed a rocker and decided against it. I was and am still very pro self soothing so I didn’t want the girls getting used to being rocked or bounced therefore the large armchair won over the rocker. And good old IKEA has so many colours for the chair cover it is bound to fit everyones decor. Book wall is made from photo shelves from IKEA as well. Simple and sleek while not taking up any floor space so great for small spaces. Most of the faux plants are IKEA or HomeSense also.
Framed prints are all from Etsy. Different shops depending on the look I was going for. For those of you wanting to know I can always look up my Etsy purchases and get you shop names. “My Girl” pillow cover also from Etsy and I thought it was a perfect fit. Then a few items I get questions on but unfortunately are not readily available are my chair side table which is from a local furniture shop and is one of a kind. And also the mirror above Charlie’s change table which I bought from Craigslist and greenery was added by myself and a handy glue gun.
Lastly, unicorn rocking horse and gold side lamp are both HomeSense finds.
All I wanted was a whimsical and enchanted little space for baby girl and I think this worked out just perfect! If there’s anything I missed or any questions I can answer, as always feel free to comment below or send me an email and I’m happy to help. Enjoy!

XOXO

Love how this turned out- it’s beautiful! Where did you source the slatted wood wall hanging? Or did you DIY that? Thanks for sharing!
