As you can tell from her cheeks— this cutie likes her food! But the one thing she will delay her dinner for is a bedtime story [or 3!].

She loves reading.. No matter how tired, cranky or hungry— once we get in her nursery for bedtime she crawls straight for the book shelf. And I pride myself on being diligent with both our daughters and they’re bedtime routines including a few good books from the age of 4 months. Of course, I know they don’t understand every word or follow the story being told but they do see the colours, hear the change of tone in my voice with each character and get that warm & cozy feeling that a good book will give you [not to mention the cuddles I get in at the same time].

And as crazy as it sounds she now, at almost 1 year old, reaches for the same book I read to her regularly when she was only a few months— #GoodnightMoon by #MargaretWiseBrownBooks. She recognizes it and enjoys it! She gives a round of applause when we finish reading each time. Reading it makes her happy and that, of course, makes Mama happy. #MomWin
