I hope you’ll be enjoying this scorcher of a day at some point.. I’m currently sitting inside with the AC blasting while the baby takes a midday nap and the preschooler sits in a kiddie pool full of cold water slathered in sunscreen.. #LivingOurBestLife
This photo was taken 3 years ago just days before I went back to work after my first mat leave.. So happy celebrating my little girls first birthday but also dreading leaving her home for 10-12 hours at a time. Tears were shed, thoughts about not going back to work at all were had, and the feelings of guilt were overwhelming.. And now I’m right back in that same spot having the same feelings.. I’m so lucky to have such a strong support system though that includes grandparents that would love nothing more than to take care of their grandkids.. I don’t know what we’d do without you.. #GrandparentsAreTheBest
Separation anxiety in motherhood is a real thing! And very difficult to work through.. So in case you’re feeling like you’re the only one feeling sad, mad, angry, frustrated, misunderstood, discouraged, lost— know that there are many of us all around you feeling the same emotions but just like any #SuperMom we keep it inside and put on a brave face.. You’ll make it through.. You’ll do whatever you need to for that little face smiling up at you that wants nothing more than your love and to see you smile right back.. You are doing your best— and your best is probably better than you’re giving yourself credit for..
